Frequently Asked Questions
How long does framing take?
Since all our frames are custom built by hand, it can take up to two weeks until your new framed art is shipped out.
How are your frames made?
It starts with wood moulding, hand cut to fit your new print. The wooden pieces are then joined together, UV resistant acrylic is cut to size, your print is mounted and then we put all the hanging hardware on it for you.
What's "UV resistant acrylic", and why should I care?
UV resistant acrylic is a type of plexiglass that filters out harmful UV (ultraviolet) rays. These rays are shown to fade colors over time, so I think it's important to use and make sure it's included in every order.
What do I need to hang my new framed print?
Frames come with all necessary hardware and wire already installed, so all you need is a hammer!
How long till I get my signed print?
I make everything to order so it can take up to a week to get your signed print out to you.
What exactly does 'limited edition' mean?
The artwork itself is limited edition, not each size. Once all editions of an artwork are sold out, that's it, it's gone... never to be made available again. Every print sold is hand-numbered, hand-signed and includes a signed certificate.
How are your digital prints made?
My digital prints are produced on a top of the line, large format printer. A MicroPiezo TFP™ print head ensures precision print accuracy, and the 10 colour ink system creates the widest ranging colour gamut available in print.
What type of paper do you use for your digital prints?
The house stock is 300# Somerset Velvet. It's acid-free to ensure it doesn't brown or fade over time and every print is hand-trimmed to size.
